Toddler Program

Please see COVID 19 Message on Home Page

Our toddler program provides full day child care from 8 am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday 12 months a year. We are closed for all National Holidays as well as quarterly Professional Development days.

Our students are grouped by age. We currently maintain two classrooms for two-year-olds and four classes of three-year-old children. Each classroom is staffed with a full time teacher, a full time assistant teacher and two part time teacher aides (one in the morning and one in the evening). The two-year-old classrooms have maximum of 12 children per class. Our three-year-old program has a maximum of 15 children per class.

The program is center based which means that the materials are grouped together in the classroom based on common themes (Art, Dramatic Play, Math & Science, Library, Blocks, Manipulative and Sand/Water). During a large portion of the day, the children are encouraged to choose a center and explore materials/topics with peers, on their own or with teachers. Toddlers participate in daily morning meeting, story time, music and movement, indoor and outdoor gross motor activity, breakfast, lunch and snack as well as weekly dance and science activities.

The toddler program staff creates lessons and activities to entice and stimulate the student’s social, emotional, and language development and problems solving skills in a developmentally appropriate and engaging environment. Our qualified and caring staff understands early childhood development and creates meaningful hands on learning opportunities and explorations to foster the children development and significant milestones. The two- and three-year-olds participate in cooking, story time, gross motor activity, and dance.

Many activities and lessons for the two-year-olds focus on separation from family members, adjusting to school routines, language development and self-help skills. Many of the activities and lessons for the three-year-olds focus on social interactions, community building, development of independent and problem solving skills and early preschool readiness skills.

All interested families must complete and submit an enrollment package. Please feel free to contact the business office if you have any questions or would like to schedule a tour of our well-equipped facilities.
